Love both games. Kim's answer has it covered.Petz 2P is a lot cleaner than Lords, and Lords really shines with the full complement of players because much of the fun is in the suspense of the blind bidding.
Petz is not that fiddly but I think the better question is whether you would find it fun, as it's of a very different nature than the games you mention.
