Hi Moshe. Thanks for your kind and funny post. I know exactly where you arecoming from. I feel the same way about games and dont buy that many for the same reasons. I guess it also depends on how often one plays. Some people play several times a week, in which case there is plenty of room for similar games. If on the other hand you play once a monthor less then odds are big that some games simply dont get played.

Timing is a funny thing. The first printable version of the game was ready a month or so before FFGs Civ. Had it come out at that time (i.e. Just after) it would have been squashed. Z-man had too many games in the pipeline and Clash was pushed back. Then Z-man got sold and the game was in limbo and in danger of being cancelled (due to Filosofia revising the original list of Z-man games. So now it is comig out, and I think the timing is absolutely perfect. Just in time for Essen and no other civ games in sight. Because who in there right mind would do a civ game after the success of TTA and the brand of Sid Meiers and FFG. Not me. Luckily the core design was done prior to all that and it might just all work out in the end.

Well. Thats me musing and rambling. In short, thanks for your well wishes and I hope you will enjoy the game even if it wont make your collection.. But who knows, you may find it different enough from the others and that it scratches the well known civ itch in another way :)

Have fun

Ps. sitting in a hotel lobby right now, getting ady to head off for the irst day of Essen.
