We decided we had to get this one on the table. I set up the asteroids in the four-player config, and we took opposite areas to set up in. I chose the Valkyrie, and got the Mega Weapon special power. Which is the last we will hear of that. My opponent was the Earthers, and got the 'fighters shoot 10 spaces through asteroids' power.
I started out aggressive, heading straight for the probes. Before I could get there, those dirty humans had maneuvered a squadron of fighters around and blasted a couple of my fighters. Didn't help. I slowly brought my first cap ship up, and blasted his damaged cap ship into a small cloud of radioactive dust. I was lucky enough to maneuver my fighters onto most of the probes. He started taking out my fighters left and right, and my first cap ship went down in flames. No matter where I tried to move my ships, that damned power he had let him shoot me up. Fortunately I also got a couple of good cards late, and was able to maneuver into position to grab a couple of the center spaces at the very end. Final score: 23-13. I had won, but near the middle I wasn't so sure that it would end that way.
We had a couple of rules questions here and there, but it's a pretty straight-forward game, and we are eager to try it again.
