COMPANIONS

TABBY - The Three-Legged Cat
Got a bit too close in the last dragon attack, but learned some valuable lessons.
Once during your turn, you may ignore the Dragon side of the Event die during a Recruiting roll.

HARKIN - The Dirty Merchant
Once sold paper swords to soldiers.
Once during your turn, you may re-roll one Solder die during a Recruiting action. If the new Recruiting roll does Farkles (no scoring dice), you lose 100 soldiers to the stockpile.

EYLERON - The Dapper Elf
His indiscretions are legendary.
Once during your turn, you may roll a die... 1: 100 soldiers leave your army to rejoin the stockpile. 2-5: 200 new soldiers join your army from the stockpile. 6: 200 new soldiers join your army from the opponent’s army of your choice.

GROK - The Goblin Grenadier
Loves to lob grenades...at friends, enemies, anybody.
Once during your turn, you may roll a die...1: 100 of your soldiers are killed accidentally. 2-5: 100 soldiers are killed from each opposing army. 6: 400 soldiers are killed from the opponent’s army of your choice.

SIDIA - The Gypsy
Once during your turn, you may predict a number from 1-6 (out loud). Roll a die: if that number appears, 600 new soldiers join your army from the stockpile.

HICCUP - The Half-Dwarf
But no one knew what the other half was.
Once per Brawl, Hiccup allows you to re-roll any one die of your choice (yours or your opponent’s).

UGH - The Ogre
Thinks he has the strength of 10,000 men...but, really, it’s a little less. You may enter the Dragon’s Keep with 500 fewer soldiers than necessary. Also, once duringyour turn, you may roll a die: if the result is a 6, 100 new soldiers join your army from the stockpile.

DARLA - The Goth Princess
Rebelling against parents and pink dresses. Once during your turn, you may roll a die...1-3: Nothing happens.4-5: 200 new soldiers join your army from the opponent’s army of your choice. 6: 500 soldiers are killed from the opponent’s army of your choice.

SCRATCH AND SNIFF - The Flighty Squirrel of Doom
Just when you thought he’d stick with you...Anytime you roll a six of a kind, a straight, three pairs, four of a kind, or three of a kind (whether or not it scored), you may trade him immediately for another Wannabe’s Companion or exchange him for one of your choice from those remaining in the deck.

SKREE - the Wyvern
The wee wannabe dragon...that sometimes fools the troops. Once during your turn,you may roll a die...1-3: Nothing happens. 4-6: 300 soldiers run away to the stockpile from the opponent’s army of your choice.


MAGIC ITEMS

BELT OF GIANT STRENGTH - Ironically, not good for holding up pants.
USE: Start of your turn You may enter the Dragon’s Keep with 500 less soldiers than necessary.

BLACKSMITH HAMMER - A powerful device of undoing.
USE: Anytime or when an item is played Destroy any Magic Item card in play or just played by a Wannabe. Discard it and negate its effects.

BOOTS OF INVISIBILITY - Better than an amusement park fast pass.
USE: Start of opponent’s turn You get to take an extra turn before your opponent’s turn, you rascal. When done, the opponent whose turn it was now resumes their turn.

CLOAK OF YON - Not a cape, but looks good in a breeze.
USE: Anytime Roll one die...1-3 - Add 500 soldiers to your army from the stockpile. 4-6 - Attract 500 soldiers from an opponent’s army into yours.

CUBE OF CHAOS - Sometimes sanity is for sissies.
USE: During your turn Roll one die...1 - Everyone passes their Companion to the Wannabe to their left. 2 - All Wannabes receive 500 soldiers from the stockpile. 3 - 750 soldiers join your army from the stockpile. 4 - 500 soldiers leave an opponent’s army to join your army. 5 - All Wannabes hand a Magic Item card to the Wannabe to their right (including this card, which is not discarded). 6 - User draws a Magic Item card.

CURSED HELMET - It’s hot, itchy, and unpleasant to wear. You’ll love it.
USE: Anytime Place this magic item on another Wannabe’s Companion. Anytime that Companion’s Wannabe gains soldiers from Recruiting, they must give 100 of those soldiers gained to the Wannabe that stuck them with the Cursed Helmet. The Cursed Helmet remains in play until: the end of the game, it is destroyed, or the target Companion is discarded.

DIVINE SHIELD - Saving thousands of soldiers and counting.
USE: Anytime Prevent the single loss of soldiers due to Companion ability, lost Brawl, Magic Item card, or the Dragon side. The Shield can also be used to negate the effects of one Dragon on the Event die during Recruiting or Brawling.

DOPPELGANGER TOKEN - Two companions are better than one.
USE: During your turn Copy the abilities of one Companion in play for this turn.

LENS OF SPYING - It’s almost like being there in person.
USE: During your turn See the weakness in a Wannabe’s army. Roll 3 dice and total them: subtract that many soldiers from the target army in hundreds.

GAUNTLET OF SEEKING - Seek... and you might find something cool.
USE: Anytime You can look through the Magic Item draw or discard piles and play any item of your choice immediately (do not place in hand). Reshuffle both piles into a new draw pile, then discard this Gauntlet and the chosen item.

HORN OF DRAGON CALLING - Relax to the sweet sounds of crunching bones.
USE: During an opponent’s turn Play immediately after an opponent’s Recruiting roll to change the Event die result to the Dragon side.

LUCKY DRAGON’S TOOTH - Better than a rabbit and less yucky.
USE: During your turn Ignore one Farkle roll.

POTION OF TELEKINESIS - It works much better than it tastes.
USE: After any dice roll Turn ANY die to the side of your choice after a roll is made, but before scoring occurs.

ROD OF COMPANION KILLING - An innocent-looking device...just don’t look at it straight on.
USE: Anytime Discard any Companion currently in play, negating its effects. The Wannabe that owned this Companion must draw a new Companion after the end of their next turn.

SACK OF HOLDING - Popular with all the Yon hoarders.
USE: During your turn Reveal this card to keep any number of Magic Item cards. If this Sack is ever destroyed or discarded, you must also discard all but one Magic Item card you were currently holding.

SCROLL OF CHARM SOLDIER - It’s all in the inflections.
USE: During your turn Play immediately aftera Recruiting or Brawling roll to double the value of all scoring dice set aside for that roll. This is not cumulative with the Rally side on the Event Die.

STAFF OF PETRIFICATION - Pigeons may be the least of their worries.
USE: Start of opponent’s turn Opponent starts with onlyfive Soldier dice this turn.

SWORD OF DRAGON SLAYING - Sword of Anything Slaying, really. It’s pretty sharp.
Use: During your turn During a Final Battle, do one damage to the Dragon. (This can even be the final damage that wins you the game.)

WAND OF ATTRACTION - Online dating for the medieval age.
USE: During your turn Roll 3 dice, add them up, and multiply by 100: add that many soldiers from the stockpile to your army.

WISHING RING - Once used to wish a dragon’s death... took weeks to clean the wearer off the ring.
USE: Anytime Change one Soldier die rolled to any number other than a 1 or 5, or exchange your Companion for another in play.
