No, what I meant was, is there a mechanism to prevent the bossiest player from dictating strategy for everyone else?

In my view, there was nothing in my first play to suggest the game overcomes that problem, any more than an other co-operative game. I remember hearing that the designer was looking to overcome this problem, in the run up to Essen, but I think this may have been a misunderstanding, due to the language barrier. He talked a lot about overcoming the "Dumb Player" issue, by which he apparently meant the issue mentioned in the post above - that of a game purporting to be interactive, when actually it just spews out a series of random events regardless of your actions as a player or group. Robinson Crusoe does overcome that problem, and is truly interactive, for all the reasons mentioned in the review, but I don't think it overcomes the problem of an overbearing player in a co-op team.
