FoA is like most Uwe games well balanced (so every action is more or less equally good in general, you have to link them together to a coherent strategy). I love that a lot.The expansion even solves some inequalities from the base game quite elegantly:
the ditches are improving
- farming due to doubling the effectiveness of a plow
- slaughterer due to being able to raise a lot of sheep
(and you don't go on war on the colonist with each other)
So In the base game I never used the plow more than once, now I have been able to find a winning strategy.
But how about the slaughterer? I wasn't really able to. Maybe I am playing it wrong. I try to get 2 sheep so that the multiply as early as possible, and when I have 6 i slaughter 2. Of course I am going for leather.
Do you have an idea what to do better / what is important with this strategy?
