I have read through this thread a number of times over the years, each time I scratch my head for some time, then realise that what Ponton says here is very clear. I then forget the details and, like Groundhog Day, find myself rereading it and scratching my head again some time later.

For now, and also for future reference, can I check that if this was the state of the game, having laid Loess Plateau which gives you a Sand pit on each free adjacent space and then used or removed the Sand pits ...
