begin PSA...Answer seekers: If you keep seeing "bowls" referred to in threads, they simply mean the Gaia areas in GP.
Been trying to read the rules questions here and have decoded for myself that when people mistakenly say "bowls" for power they are referring to a TM term that is not applicable in GP and liable to confuse folks (like me for a time) who have no idea what you're talking about.
Power in GP is in AREAS I, II, and III. I assume they were thematically in "bowls" or some such in TM, but not everyone is coming from TM to play GP and are likely to have questions and not know what the heck you TM players are talking about.
My first though, as a gamer where "bowls" are used for drawing counters, etc... was that I was missing something and was supposed to be keeping power off my board for some reason.
So keep in mind that GP != TM and even if you have experience with both, try to use the correct terminology for this game because many will come here looking for answers.

P.S. I'm actually shocked there are so many TM players here playing GP any way... the hate Star Trek Frontiers got from the MK fans claiming it was a reskin was abominable... Surprised TM players actually like GP (seriously shocked, not trolling)
