I'm a GP player with no concept of TM terminology, and the phrases "bowls" and "leech" have always been quite apparent to me, even if they aren't the official terms.

Now, I'll admit the terms "Temple" or "Stronghold" probably wouldn't make sense because I wouldn't readily know which corresponding GP buildings they are, but "bowls" and "leech" are pretty easy to deduce.
