I mean, if you really wanna pick nits, it's more than possible (if you draw the correct lines) to move from Lima to Dar Es Salaam or even New Mumbai in something like 2 days, purely by driving and ferrying. You can trivially set that up to be four moves, so one turn, so roughly two days assuming that each month is 2 weeks (to allow for failure) and you can get roughly 8 to 10 turns per player per game.
Heck, a single action (so, maybe half a day) could have you sail the entire Atlantic, from Sao Paolo or Buenos Aires, round the Cape of Good Hope, to Madagascar. A trip that would take weeks even with a fast boat and friendly seas.
Less, if you play two player. It's more than possible to go back and forth across the globe like 4 times in two weeks purely by drive/ferries.
