I really like RR lately, but not sure how many times I would be able to get it to the table with my wife or usual players. Most of them don't care for the train theme (even though it's not a typical train game).If it gets republished in the U.S. (at a decent price) I'll probably buy it, but I don't think I'm going to buy the pricier German edition.
I really like the balance of the worker placement options in RR. Some spots cost multiple workers, so you have to decide if it's worth the cost of using up your dudes in fewer turns. There are extra workers you can earn, but it's not super easy. So again, you have to balance the cost/benefit. It's definitely an engine-builder, but with a twist, as you keep building up the amount of points you score at the end of each round.
Best thing is to try RR on BoardGameArena. It works great and is free.
