The more I play the more I think that R1 Academmy is the best opening for a lot of factions the following factions do not want a R1 Academy, Ivits, Ambas, Gleens, Terrans, Firaks, Geodens, and an argument can be made against Academy for Bescods. Ivits will get a RL, Ambas and Gleens move up in nav and get RL + 4+ Mines or RL+TS+2M, Terrans, Firaks, and Geodens want the PI quickly so they stop at RL. The main reason Academy is so strong is that it allows for a lot of economic development without needing to terraform or navigate with QIC. Ivits can't afford it and Bescods may want 2 RL, but I haven't played them enough to have an opinion on which route is better.↧
