If you like more meaningful names for the alien races, try using these more flavourful faction names instead :D As you say, "The Swarm" and "The Mad Androids" are much cooler than random meaningless strings of letters, so I tried to do that for the other factions too.I do find they genuinely help me keep track of the faction differences.
