End of game spoilers!
[o]You can cut out 1 card, if you go thru the Indian ocean haven, still 7 moves though. I think it made it 3 R, 2 B, H, 1 Y, 1 B. Assuming it was legal to move thru the havens, which from our reading of the card, it was. (said, discard a card of the city color to move into a city, nothing about locations in general, so havens were a non-card move)[/o]

[o]Well, I must have missed something. Michael, you and Tony have the same route - RRR Bl BL H Y B, whereas I have 4R. I'll pose the same question just in case you don't see it in my reply to Tony: How are you going from Shanghai to Jakarta in one move?
To me, the shortest route is:
1) Lake Baikal to Utopia (RED CARD)
2) Utopia to SHanghai (2nd red)
3) Shanghai to [Either Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh, or Manilla, deoendons on how it's set up) (3rd red card)
4) One of those cities to [either Bangkok or Jakarta] (4th red card)
5) And then on to Kolkata along the remainder of the route that we all seem to agree on.
Unless there's a way to get from Shanghai to Kolkata in two moves, I'm not see how how this can be done with only 3 red moves at the beginning, and I'm not seeing a way to do that without making an illegal sea rout that crosses two red lines (or an illegal land supply line of some sort).
OHHHHHH WAIT. I see it now.
Ho Chi Minh to Kolkata. Well, that sucks. I suppose I have no one to blame but myself for missing that. Alas. [/o]
