Looks good to me! There is one litte addition I would like to suggest; can you mark one way or the other the columns which are used to start a new set of games?

You mean, who's down to play against each other? It's the first column (highlighted in grey). However, currently the website has no knowledge of who's actually signed up to play in the next round of games, so you can't tell precisely from that. This will change at some point though.

The marathon table migh look better if you don't display 0. It will contain a lot of 0s that migh make it hard to see the values > 0.

Done

Unfortunately I don't understand the meaning of the Marathon table, neither the meaning of the columns nor what the four listed players did to get a 1 in a certain column. This is different from Championship Points, right? Maybe you can add a paragraph or two about this to the other explanation?

When new games are created there will be N games, G1-GN. G1 is between player 1-4 on the ladder, G2 is between 5-8 and so on. A win in game number X (GX) gives you 1 point on the marathon table in collumn number X. The marathon table is ordered by most wins in G1, most wins in G2 and so on. This means that a win in G1 is worth more than any number of wins in G2 etc.

Stones has it right. Now added an explanation.

I was thinking that I would like other results than wins to show up on the marathon table somehow.

I quite like the simplicity of only awarding wins, but I'm certainly persuadable. The obvious alternative would be to use points a la TMTour (but keep the principle of "1 point in G1 is worth infinity points in G2")

I presume that the yellow background of W5G1 means "new leader". And that the previous "new leader" games are not yellow because those were still random draws. Correct?

Not quite. The yellow background is just to highlight G1s, Silver is to highlight G2-5s. Not sure of the value of that though...
