I like both games, and believe both can evolve side by side.Currently TM is at a disadvantage, because of the cult tracks, which should be overhauled. But TM provides blockage, and as such as the potential to remain a distinct and preferred game for some players.
I know for sure that I won't be able to play TM with my wife, whereas she's happy to play GP with me.
