Thread: Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island:: General:: New player learning w/ old edition... which rules to use?

I am lending my Dad my copy of Robinson Crusoe. I have the old edition and want him to avoid the struggle with the old rules. I have skimmed around the files section and have a few questions.

1. I understand the new edition has a much improved rulebook. Can my Dad use that or are there component differences that will make that frustrating in its own way?

2. I know there is a long FAQ or two floating around. Are there any old edition rules re-writes that people would recommend?
