Thread: Gaia Project:: Strategy:: Driving knowledge income up to 4 per round

Dear Colleagues,

How important is it to get Knowledge income to 4 per round - to guarantee at least one advance every round?

OK I have decided this will be my priority. Here is my plan...

FIRST ROUND:
Start with 1 Knowledge income
Upgrade to a RL for 2
The Tech Tile K/C for 3
Advance 4 spaces. One bump on the Knowledge-track


Is this too high a price to pay for a guaranteed 5 advances on the K-track?


If I dedicate one advance each turn to the Knowledge track, I will net 42 knowledge income (29 from knowledge track, 13 from tech tile + RL) Subtracting the 5 bumps (20 points) on the knowledge track that leaves 22 additional points to use on other tech tracks. That's 10 bumps! Not to mention the 12 point end-of-game scoring on the K-track.

I am going to try this out tonight - I am training two new GP player at Carolina Table Top Games tonight. I will report back with my findings.
