Dear Colleagues,

This is the best thread ever - exactly what I most desire. I have often dreamed of performing a rigorous analysis on GP Round One, and here it is, commented on by legendary GP players. Now I know 80% what to do in round one ....

1. upgrade to RL (rarely or never Round 1 PI)
2. Take 4PW Tech Token (maybe 1O+1K or another income tile))
2a. maybe 4C if I am HH (Byrds)
2b. maybe 3VP for mine on Gaia if I am Terran
2c. Get power booster tile(4 for PI or Academy) if I am Ambas

I think that's a bit of a rigid outlook. Yes a round 1 tech tile is great (just like it is in TM) as it will pay out the most over the remaining rounds. The choice is to pick out which one is important to you that game
