I've read and processed a number of rule sets in my time and I can safely say Agricola was up there as one of the most complicated games I've ever had to get my head around. I think it is because there are so many different ways to play it and it has to be set up differently for different amounts of players etc. Castles of Burgundy was way more straightforward than this. I am not comparing the games, simply the process of learning the games directly from the rulebooks. All these games are way easier when someone is teaching them to you (as long as they are a good teacher). I always have the pleasure of reading the rules, figuring it out and then explaining to my wife and friends.↧
