Going by this, I would say he succeeded and died.
2. With all the temporary weapon bonuses, what do you do when you kill an animal that takes away weapon levels? (Breaks your weapons) so far we have played that it goes off the actual weapon level on the board, and if it can no longer go down, then you lose health, but really the temporary weapon used could also 'break'.
Temporary levels are removed after the use, so if you lose a Weapon level, you remove one level, and then you remove another level for each temporary Weapon level you had.
I'm not sure lowering the Weapon level (or Roof/Palisade level for that matter) below 0 counts as "Unfulfilled Demand". I do recall, having read here, that they do not cause Wounds.
3. Not so much a question but a correction: The Cataclysm event card (brown question mark) states: "Put all Items in the Current Resources space. They are not available this round. Place them back on board after Action Phase."
"Current" should be "Future"...
"Current" should be "Future"...
Maybe they did this deliberately, so they are not confused with Inventions you just built (because some have additional effects, that only apply when you actually build the item).
In general, for an Item to be usable, it has to be on the board, not in the Resources space.
