Got that covered with two sets of little buildings, two sets of cult, two sets of siege, and two sets of tunnels.

As for the scorring we solve it by each player has double the amount of normal followers. Since I had two base games that was easy. So now with our 15 followers and a 16th on the score track we play.

Down time is reduced in our six player games by two players are able to play at the same time. Therefore a six player game plays almost as fast as a three but this has a little less strategies. It does for some fun battles of who can throw down a tile the fastest when your both eyeballing the same spot. This could mean eight plays as fast as four. Maybe. Lol

IMO adding f.e. two players is possible, when playing with all expansions. The only problem would be waiting for your turn - sometimes I was driven crazy when 2 of 6 players were meditating for a minute or two before adding a tile :zombie:

As for the number of tiles, I think that if there is too little tiles per players, many features end being unfinished (I remember a game with 5 players and about 100 tiles - for most people it was difficult to score more than 50 points). It will be also difficult to control the situation when there are too many tiles.

Last but not least, not all expansions are suitable for more than 6 players. For example the Cathars (aka the Siege) - there are only four tiles of this type. The same with the Cult (5-6 tiles, depending on version) - even during a two player's game it's difficult to trigger a challenge, which is the funniest thing about this expansion.
