I don't think it is an "issue".
Because of the rules don't mention it, what's the problem in knowing which kind of card comes next?

You really mean this? Then how would you explain thematically that everyone on the island seems to be clairvoyant?
Also, what would the use of the Mystery Card 'Herbal Mixture' be if there's 'no problem in knowing which kind of card comes next' ?
HERBAL MIXTURE - Keep this card. You can use it once. It allows you to look at the top Event card. Discard after use.
It's clearly meant to be hidden information which Event card will turn up next. The different card backs make it needlessly difficult and cumbersome to keep that info hidden.
The card back is only a partial information. It is clearly meant that the text of the card is hidden (you can't tell two card of the same type apart), but this does not mean that you cannot know the card's type.
Furthermore, you actually can't say that the current top card is the one being revealed at the start of your next turn: Adventure or Mystery cards appearance may force a reshuffle.
About the clairvoyance... when Adventure and Mystery cards are drawn they are resolved, and all the players know that sooner or later they have to face them again. As the event approaches, many signals may make the castaways guess that the storm is impending, that that wild animal is circling around the camp or that the wound the carpenter took is getting really really worse.
