I'm amazed by the reports of success. We have really struggled with this (zero wins so far, except in my first game, when I didn't realise you had to move the Athenian track on every turn!)

I wonder if I'm missing something. We're on turn 6, we've not completed a single component, this is a 2p Easy game, we have 30% of the island shrunk and thanks to a misfortune the Athenian track is at +5.

So with 2 of us, with 6 meeples each, we need to put 4 each (or 3 + a courage token for my character who gets one free each turn - but of course that denies him using it for any other purpose) on the navy. Because less than 8 means 3+ floods if we roll a 5, and that seems unsustainable given the flood rate already.

Which means 2 meeples each (maybe 3 for me) per turn to do everything else. And given that e.g. 60%+ of forest rolls will fail, and in fact we've just had an entire turn of zero resource die successes, I ask, is this possible, or am I (and I really hope so!) just missing something?

I think we're playing it right, but with these stats, I think we'd be lucky to win one in 100. On easy. I can play Ghost Stories to lose at that rate!

Shame, since I like the look and feel of the game and it's novel and interesting and we love co-ops. But I fear it's going to be relegated to "not often".
