Hello all,I have the Multilingual 2nd edition (not sure if my question is clarified in another language in the rules or in another edition). In my copy of the rule book, in the section in English, on page VI, it states "If you hire a tradesman, you are required to activate the card at least once". This is in the right hand column, under "remarks:".
My question is:
What is the penalty if a player doesn't activate the card?
Example: A card is flipped and a player grabs one of the tradesman spots worth victory points at the end of the game. However the player doesn't have the proper dice to best use the card presently, but he plans to use it later. As the game progresses this player always seem to have a better use for his actions. Now the the end of the game is upon him and other players, prior to his action, use up the available dice that could have activated the card. In fact one of his opponents actually used up the dice he needed intentionally to stick it to him for putting this requirement off till so late in the game. He's stuck and can't activate the card. So is there a penalty? If so what is it?
