Yes, in the end it's all a matter of taste. Some people say that playing le Havre solo is like doing math homework or some kind of accounting :D

For me the hotspot of the game is 4-5 players. With 1-2-3 seven cards are removed from the deck after shuffling (if my memory doesn't fail me) and so it's possible that a card you introduced in the deck and that you are looking for doesn't show.

For example if you have the 19 red and 20 red it makes sense (at least to me) to play the 20 tile somewhere and then try to get that 20 card so you can place the 19 above only having to pay 1VP and cashing 8 VP.

Someone could argue that a player could use the card in order to avoid my scoring, and that's true, I don't mind being screwed by a smart rival, but dont' like the same cause just got unlucky.

Take into account that I like the game and I enjoy it, but for the solo mode I prefer other games :D
