Thanks Chris for taking a look here, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)I actually got in a game earlier today for Scenario 3. Kendall with 3 wounds to his healthy side of his card, Jack Saw with only 1 life left on his wounded side and Jessica Hollister with only 1 total wound survived to win and allow Kenall into his lab.
Zombie 1 and Jack Saw took care of Vasquez but not without paying a severe price. Bolter had finished the Zombie, wounded Jack Saw a bit and put 3 wounds on Kendall. But it was Hollister that was the hero for the Salamites as she and Jimmy Woo were battling it out in various locations behind the lab, but she eventually prevailed and then picked up his grenade launcher with 3 rounds left. She later used the grenade launcher to great effect against Bolter to finish him off.
I love the mechanic for running out of ammo and reloading, as well as the targeting system. It's pretty fun and tense to decide how many CP's to put toward targeting and how many for extra chance of damage. LOS blockers certainly made it interesting in getting into position to shoot.
Hopefully at some point we'll see a few more characters for each side. :D
It's no wonder I really love this game, my other favorites are C3G Heroscape http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=34828, which is a superhero customs game with a lot of depth and detail where games come alive with theme and storytelling. I've been part of the design team for the past 3 years, so this kind of stuff I'm passionate about.
I also love Sergeants Miniatures Game, which is WWII tabletop game with modular map tiles and built in modifiers on each tile. The soldiers are unique and during the game, a story unfolds.
So considering I'm really into those two games, it's no wonder I've grown so fond of Earth Reborn. It's so much fun to be able to get so immersed into the game and re-tell it like a story.
