Almost up to date, just 2 more posts to go, and I should have written about all my newly played titles :)Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small is a 2 player game. I usually don't get to play those as we very rarely play with just 2. And I just prefer the dynamics that you get by being with more than 2 in a game. But I had heard good things about this, and got the chance to try it in a rare day of being with only 2 gamers.
This game takes Agricola, which I like, and does away with all cards. You simply get resources, get animals, build pastures and upgrade some buildings. Like in the original game.
I liked all this quite a bit, but was completely caught off guard by the ending. It came so soon and I was completely unprepared. My score was OK, but there was so much more I was planning on doing, but the game ended too soon.
I liked it, and would be happy to play again.

I had played Thunderstone a couple of times before, and enjoyed it, but I've always described it as a slower, less polished Dominion. This time I played Thunderstone: Dragonspire with Thunderstone: Wrath of the Elements. Again, I enjoyed it, but it just felt like more Thunderstone. More of the same. If you like Thunderstone, and can't get enough, get them, otherwise, just stick to the base game.

Wanzen tanzen is, just like Piraten kapern is a silly dice game from Amigo. You score points by getting cards. You get cards by completing dice combinations as indicated by the card. You only get the card if you complete all combinations on the card. If you don't, the card goes on to the next player including completed combinations. So he/she has a better chance of completing the card. But if you fail to roll a combination on the card (Yathzee style with rerolls and stuff) you take a penalty chip. If a player gets a 5th penalty chip, he gets a negative point card and everyone discards their penalty chips!
It combines push-your-luck with some tactics (pass as soon as you have 4 penalty chips, you're likely to discard them before your next turn, or not?)
It's light, it's silly, it can invoke some funny moments.
