OK, box open. Initial thoughts:1. The quality of the expansion items seems pretty good. the weight of the cardboard felt the same and the cards looked similar, though I didn't compare the backings to look for an exact match.
2. All the expansion stuff looks pretty neat. From looking it over, the new monsters, Paladins and Bards can be mixed in with the normal set without using any other expansion items. I don't see a reason offhand that you couldn't mix in the rooms either. The pets require the fifth season board to come in to play (or at least the special action tiles). The improved tunnels can't be integrated without the special action tiles.
3. Somehow I overlooked that they added adventurer items for the bards. Glad to see those in there.
4. I didn't read the new events or spells, beyond taking a passing glance at the fatigue (one of each quantity for the respective year) on the combat cards. Our group likes nasty surprises.
5. I'm really anxious to get this to the table. I've been wanting more Dungeon Lords and this is too great to pass up.
