18 Buildings: 6 Houses, 6 Towers, and 6 Sheds
Preparation
The 18 buildings are distributed evenly to all players. Remaining buildings are put back into the box.
Additional Rules
All three types of buildings are equivalent. During a player's turn, he places a tile as per usual. If a player chooses not to place a follower (or cannot), he may place a building on a tile. The building is visible to all players; it is not associated with any feature on the tile, but rather applies to the entire tile it is placed on.
Whenever a Road, Cloister or Farm is scored, every building that is located on a tile that is included in scoring adds 1 point to the final amount scored. These points are added to the score after all other points have been counted. A Cloister score includes any buildings on adjacent tiles (in the "Cloister area").
A building remains on the board throughout the game and can be used multiple times by multiple players. Points from buildings are also awarded during final scoring.
This mini-expansion was designed primarily for use with the Carcassonne base game.
Variant
Different types of buildings score different points:
• Tower +3 Punkte
• House +2 Punkte
• Shed +1 Punkte
During Preparation, make sure that every player gets the same number of each type of building.
