On the other hand, there is no restriction on Ownership Markers. You have 30 each, in a 2 player game and will pick up 11 cards during the game, but it is possible if you do very well in battles and take multiple locations off your opponent, you could get through your supply. Yes, just each use one of the unused player colours. You must be able to mark the locations and personalities you own. Cheers."
OK, the answer is definitely, in a 2 player game you will pick up 22 cards by turn 5. When talking about number of ownership markers I obviously quoted the number of cards for a 4 player game (11) which didn't really help make my point that you could theoretically run out of ownership markers in a 2 player game. More likely if you only have 30 markers and you have 22 pick ups as opposed to only 11. Sorry about that!
Nick, as Pedro said, the first few games may overwhelm you, but soon you will get used to this amount of action and your picks(of cards) will become very important. You just concentrate on areas where you can make a difference and forget the rest.
The same applies to 3 and 4 player games. After several games you will more clearly see what is important and what is not important. Trust Pedro's opinion it gets much easier the more you play.
This is typical of my games: I try to create games where the winning strategy is not obvious the first time you play. I want players to have a challenge and to look forward to their next game, asking "now, what can i do better in my next game". Also I like variation and replayability and games with this much happening, certainly have that!
Keep an eye out for my next game, "Triassic Terror" brutal area control game with a struggle to survive Volcanoes, swooping Pterodactyls, T-Rex and 2 vicious Raptors. Very strategic and challenging game. My company KAYAL GAMES is co-producing it with Eagle Games. I will post info on BGG soon about its release.
Cheers
