You should play Agricola until you know enough about it that taking begging cards never happens. Experienced players never are forced to take them; they exist to drive strategy rather than to punish mistakes.As to Dungeon Lords, run. It is an incredibly destructive game. You can quite easily lose all your shit, literally, by making any number of mistakes of seemingly minimal importance at the time.
You also have less of a feeling of "building something up" than in Agricola; you might have 2 or 3 rooms and maybe 3 or 4 monsters if you get lucky. If seeing your work "rewarded" is your goal, this isn't for you.
