My buddy dislikes Agricola for the same reason- that keeping up with the food production makes Agricola stressful and annoying. I asked his thoughts on DL and he says "No it doesn't feel as drastic or as difficult". I think the difference is that in Agricola, if you do a poor job with it you feel like you're just wasting all your actions on food and never actually getting anywhere. In Dungeon Lords all your actions will be going towards being productive and fighting off the adventurers. You might do a poor job at it, and end up with many conquered rooms, but you'll never feel like you just sat there wasting your turns on unproductive stuff (unless you keep being the 4th player to pick an action!).↧
