I addressed your points that most of the people don't want to buy this game. They only do so begrudgingly. To take such a bold stand, provide no data is as ridiculous as ridiculous can be. PLUS, you then reject anyone who thinks that maybe, just maybe, people can and do make informed choices, and bought this game intending to play this game as this game is intended.

I accept that some people will buy this game, and house rule it to make it replayable. That's fine. Why is it so hard for you to accept that some people will buy this game, and play it exactly as intended, no house rules?

Why doesn't anyone ever give a straight answer to "Why is tearing up cards fun?"

Tearing cards up isn't fun, it's devastating. It's painful. It hits people on a primal level. You've just gone against social norm. It hurts. It makes a huge emotional impact. That's the point though. The game is immediately making you emotionally attached to your actions.

Is it a cheap move? Or course, but just because something is the easy way, it doesn't mean it's wrong. It's used because it works.

(I'm calling it; it's because they're trying to look cool in front of their friends. Because the Legacy rituals were created for people who are Collectors who sleeve cards, etc., not for people who just buy games and play them. There is no point intrinsic to the game itself. Destroying components is a social ritual, not a game mechanic. The Legacy emperor is naked.)

This is why you get so much grief here. You attack people. You stated that your point of view is the only right one, and everyone else who disagrees with you is only trying to be cool. It's odd, this line of argument didn't work on me when I was 8, and it won't work on me now either.

Besides, I love the legacy mechanic, and don't sleeve all my games. In fact, I sleeve less than 1%. I know there are others like me too, so again, your point is lost at the beginning.
