Well, that, and because it's the most cerebral. In my opinion, The Resistance has the most player interaction. In direct contrast to the review, I find that it's very rare for anyone to be 100% certain about anyone else's role in The Resistance. And in one game where we were 100% certain that a particular player was a spy, that player ended up playing an important role as people over-analysed his public votes on future missions and he used that to the spy team's advantage.
Meanwhile, sometimes it's hard to stay under the radar in Saboteur and you are forced to actively hinder the other side, so the roles often aren't so "hidden."
