I'd argue that blue and brown don't really have a lesser faction - they have two factions that excel in different circumstances and are comparably competitive when those circumstances arise.
You could make the same argument to a lesser extent with black, actually - the Alchemist niche isn't wide, but within it they can be just as dangerous as Darklings - if not more so. That said, the representation gap is something like 7:1 instead of the 2:1 for blue and brown, so they're certainly the significantly rarer faction if not exactly weaker per se.

Steve, I see what you are trying to say and I do agree completely.
However, I'm not talking about a lesser faction per se here but rather the lesser faction, which is a fixed construction that just arose out of pure boredom and should help to quickly find ongoing games with factions that are rather seldom played. They are now all and for ever a lesser faction and might comeback in the future...
And just to underline it again: Brown has neither a lesser faction nor a lesser faction. That was just a service to not discriminate a single colour and provide games of the faction that is lesser played. Like i said, brown does not play the game of shame. Just to good overall!:star:
