I think you went the wrong way around.

I find the base game fun.
But i really do not like the expansions. The extra boards are just less fun than the base one and they lengthen the game significantly into the realms of "too long for what the game is".

Prophecy is a perfect 2 hours game. With both expansions in, you are looking at a 4+ hours thing.
