It's probably of interest what the typical winning scores "in general, and between decent players" are, and whether in such a game more than e.g. 200 VP can be considered "a very good result". But whether somebody achieved 239VP or 240VP isn't really relevant to answer these questions.
High scores can be of abstract interest if the question isn't related to a real game (with random setup, and players who all try to win), but rather to how many VPs can be achieved when everything is optimized towards a high score (like they did in Terra Mystica in this thread: The high score challenge). Then it's clear that the setup was hand-picked to optimize the score, and that the other players were not opponents, but rather supporters.
