We're certainly not lacking in games that have been aggressively simplified to the point of extreme minimalism. So when you vociferously advocate for that in every possible game, it gets a bit tiresome.
"In every possible game"? What hat are you pulling this from? A couple weeks ago, I investigated Advanced Squad Leader: Starter Kit #1 and am now eager to give it a whirl. AS-freaking-L!
I don't believe you!
It's on the public record, man. If you'd spend more time at our Amoeba home instead of gallivanting at yucata or god knows where, maybe this wouldn't come as a surprise.
Point is, I'm far more of an omni-gamer than David is making me out to be. While I am an advocate of minimalism -- or more accurately, tightness -- I don't shy away from purposeful complexity. Emphasis on "purposeful". Complexity just for the sake of seeing how many euro-pins one can juggle at a time strikes me as overwrought indulgence.
