Note:
This is my first playthrough, and I know I got some of the rules wrong. But I thought it might make a nice write-up anyway.

Week 1:
I don't know what happened. One minute we were sailing acrosscalm waters, the next a huge wave ripped our boat to pieces. I'm not sure how I managed to make it to shore, more luck than judgement I think. Picking myself up off the wet sand, I gave a quick prayer of thanks to God for merely surviving. It won't be easy to survive here, but I do have some carpentry skills I should be able to put to good use. Searching my pockets, I discover a packet of biscuits and my trusty bible. Both soggy, but they should dry out.
I've also made a couple of friends here. There's a man who speaks no English, but I'e named him Friday. So far we are communicating by sign language and it seems to be working ok. He has a dog with him too who might come in handy.
I decide I need to build a large beacon fire if I am ever to escape this place.
I take stock of my situation. I can see some crates floating in the sea, but right now food isn't my main priority - exploring my new home is. To that end, I take the dog with me, whilst Friday heads out on his own.
The Dog and I walk along the beach and we quickly come to some mountains, towering over the sea. There are birds flying about which should make for a good food source, but judging by the prints, I'm not the only creature that has thought of that.
I send the dog back to the beach to wait for Friday whilst I carry on my exploration. I come to a graslands area, which looks like it has been ravaged by fire. Although most of the game has moved on, there is some wood, which should prove useful in building the beacon. I find some herbs which look like they might be useful in healing wounds. I give them to Friday who is looking a bit worse for wear from his exploits. He has also been exploring and apparently found a river teaming with fish. However where there is food there are animals.

Week 2:
The wind has been raging hard, so it was a good thing we moved camp to the mountains - at least we are sheltered from the worst of it.
This week I mostly stayed near the camp and began to build some useful items. I fashioned a rope from some vines, and constucted a dam to get a little bit of food stock.
Meanwhile Friday and the dog continued the exploration of the island, finding some hills. they encountered a shrine, but wisely decided to leave it well alone in case they disturbed the spirits there - franly we have enough problems to be getting on with!

Week 3:
Bear attack! Thankfully no-one was injured but it has might a right mess of the camp, that ironically we have just relocated. Maybe we should have stayed in the mountains?
Friday and the dog continue their exploration, and discover an old cahce of treaure! It's an old pot, but it should come in very useful at night times.
Meanwhile I cleared the camp up, and read the bible to renew my strength and determination. God kept me alive for a reason, I must believe I will get off this place. I had some time left to make a shovel out of bits of driftwood.

Week 4:
Fire! The weather is hot, so hot a fire has been burning near camp. There goes another source of my desperately needed wood!
Friday & dog continue their travels, bringing back some much needed weapons. Clearly we aren't the only people to end up here. I wonder if they ever escaped?
I stayed behind to clean up the ruined camp after the bear attack, and also made sure the fire was extinguished properly.
Strangely enough, we had some snow this evening. What on earth is happening to the weather??

Week 5:
Predator! It looks as though something has been hunting the food source near camp. Turns out Dog has been eating more than his fair share. I had to put him down. Feel guilty but it was either him or me!
[o]Note: from here on, I hadn't used Dog any more, so decided that he was the predator - hope no-one's offended![/o]
Back at camp I used the rope I made earlier to build a snare. That should certainly make it easier to catch our dinner.
Meanwhile Friday tried to gather some wood, but he came back empty handed, and looking decidely worse for wear. Not sure what happened to him out there.

Week 6:
Well today was miserable. A body washed ashore, and although the fish had been at it, I recognised Amelia. I loved her so much and hoped she was alive somewhere. Should I even carry on?

I decided that I must carry on, and cleared a shortcut to the woods.Should make it easier to gather the wood, build the beacon and get off this island.

Week 7:
Left Friday to bury Amelai, I just couldn't face it. I wnet out searching for more food and wood. Whilst searching I found some furs - that will certainly be useful for keeping us warm now the weather is getting colder.
Storms came at night, wrecking my hard earned wood and food. A fox also came looking to get out of the rain, but he was easily dispatched!

Week 8:
Strong winds are battering my defenses, the wall we built arund camp is no more. This will need clearing up,
Quiet week - Friday cleared a new path to camp whilst I repaired the damage and built a roof. That should help keep the weather out.

Week 9:
Woken up by some horrible howling at night. Strengthened the roof as it's still letting in the rain. Went out gathering some wood, and a huge spider dropped on my head! Think I got away ok though, and at least I got the precious wood. Friday's hunt for food was much simpler and he came back laden with fish. The beacon looks like it will be high enough, all I need to do now is light it

Week 10:
Looks like the furs I used to build the roof weren't such a great idea - they are full of ants, which have now got into our food!
Woken by a tiger coming into the camp, I knew I should have re-built the palisade. Thankfully I only got a couple of scratches before he ran off in search of easier prey.
The best news however - the beacon is lit! All I have to do now is wait for a ship to come. I wonder if Friday will come with me?
