Well to be honest I didn't like it. I tried a solo game to learn how to play, and then I've played with 5,4 and 3 players and I liked with that number of players. For me the flaws of the solo mode are:
- Too much book-keeping. You have to shuffle and deal many cards to just pick a card (and a tile) in your turn and also play a random turn for your oponent. I feld that I was spending more time doing the shuffle deal add cards etc than really playing.
- Very low control of what you are doing. The dummy opponent will play a random card. And you get 4 new cards every turn to pick the best one.
I will try the game again now that I've played a couple of games more but I think that my opinion won't change.
I play solo games often and the ones that I enjoy the most are:
Mage knight
Friday
At the gates of loyang
Le havre..
So if you enjoy this games it's probable that you won't find any reason to play Ginkgopolis instead.
