The fish tokens, bread tokens, and meat tokens, from the same site are great for replacing the cardboard "food" tokens, but some might not like them, because they all just count as "food" in strict gameplay terms.
They don't seem to be selling the wooden farmer-meeple family sets anymore. These seem to split opinion too, but I love my set.
