I notice that the Objectives Cards are hidden. From previous experience, I'm little wary of games which have too much emphasis on secret objectives.
It makes effective strategizing and gauging your relative position very difficult. IMO it often leads to the annoying "'Surprise!' I just did a supercombo of 3 Objectives in a late-game turn and now I'm suddenly in the lead" syndrome. [Especially when the only benefit of the object is Victory Points rather than economic/military/research benefits which usually more beneficial the sooner you can resolve them.]
So I was wondering if you could explain your reason for hidden objectives rather than open objectives? And how much of end game VPs normally come from these objectives?
